{I}sabel {I}rene...

...and her passion for her new {i}nstrument.

Last week we had the pleasure of attending her

first ever

Orchestra Concert.

4th graders from eight local elementary schools

have been practicing the same songs

this past fall/winter

and on Thursday night they split themselves into

2 groups

to perform for friends and family.

Each group had almost 200 students

performing at one time

which means that each school has almost

50 orchestra students!

Isabel loves playing the violin.

It doesn't hurt that her best friend also plays.

The concert was great.

They played 7 songs

{2 of which had 3 variations within the song}

and they played completely

from memory with no stands or music!

Ryan snapped some pictures of us

in the audience

{was not aware at the time}

and I found it funny that the other kids

didn't appear as interested as I was!

{maybe they'd prefer trumpets or flutes?}
