Motivational Monday: In the words of MLK, Jr.

An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust,
and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment
in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice,
is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
At the center of non-violence stands the principle of love.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

********************
Have the words of MLK, Jr., inspired you today and the way you live your life?
Did your schools have today off?
Do you think he would have wanted his day of recognition to be a non-education day?
I sort of wish we could all just meet at one big giant park and play all day...peacefully.
********************
PS
I ran 3 miles completely painless without stopping.
It's a 2012 milestone for me, everyone.
Please put your hands together for a round of applause.

My favorite MLK, Jr quote...

"Returning violence for violence mutiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: Only love can do that."

And WAY TO GO for the pain-free run. So awesome.

Woohoo for pain free! Nice :)

I have always been intrigued by MLK, and learning about him in elementary school may be the only thing I remember learning from back then. It was always very interesting to me, and I used to just love his I have a dream speech...when I was about 10.

I do get inspired by him now too. His quotes are a reminder about what is really important in life, and how we really should always focus on doing the right thing without worrying what people will think (or, if it's illegal, I suppose...but I don't think I've been faced with that as often).

I am so inspired when I read about King and his ideas. I had work today, but I spent some time being inspired too :)

Fabulous quotes. And I totally wish there was a park meet-up, that'd be the best day off ever!
