WIAW: Birthday Eats & Treats

First things first....

THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH
for all the wonderful birthday well "wishes"!!

I had a GREAT 29th birthday!!

It's been a few weeks since I've participated-
but it's time for another round of
Here were yesterday's eats and treats.

I started off the day with some fresh-blended orange juice.

We dropped the girls off at school and then my boys & I headed
to Starbucks for a birthday treat!!

I got a free drink and splurged on some delicious cake pops.

We took our drinks and cake pops to a nearby park while my car got an oil change.
I couldn't have asked for better weather.
We had so much fun with James at the park!
After the park we went to several nurseries looking for annuals to plant along our house.
We found just what we were looking for and headed home for some gardening.

Look at all the greens we were able to pull for a salad lunch!

I also made us some veggie wraps and fruit!

Later that night the fam and I headed to Baratta's-
a south-side Des Moines legendary Italian restaurant.

We started off with bread.
It was good...but...well...bread.
Plain bread.
Nothing too exciting.

What WAS exciting was the glass of Moscato d'asti I ordered.
Mmmmmm.

I got a side salad with my entree.
The greens weren't nearly as tasty as the ones from our garden.
But the house creamy garlic dressing was spot.on.

I ordered chicken amaggio for my entree and it was FANTASTIC!

Our server was so sweet to bring me this heavenly chocolate cherry cake.
We took turns taking bites but one little person got the majority.
I won't name any names.

It was an amazing day full of
LOVE, LAUGHTER, GOOD EATS & TREATS!

You're only 29?! Wow, I feel so old. I know I'm only 3 years older but still 29 just sounds so young still! :) Happy belated birthday! We love getting those cake pops from Starbucks! Such a fun treat for the kids. :)

Happy happy birthday!!! I spent my 29th year preggers! Chocolate is my fav cake but my mother-in-law handed down the recipe of a killer cake too. Yellow dense cake with partially melted chocolate and butterscotch chis on top! Killer!

LOL...one of my favorite things about you is how you just throw anything into a blender and drink it. That's so bad-ass I can't stand it.
