My boss asked me the other day if I had been shopping in my Grandma's closet when I came to work in knitted sweater. I'm not particularly sure that I'd call myself *stylish* but the THREE lovely ladies from Thrive Style & And I Ran...Why? & Eat, Watch, Run nominated me yesterday for the Stylish Blogger award. Apparently I have more style than I thought! If you haven't checked out their sites, you should do it now!
Here’s how being *stylish* works…
There are 4 duties to perform to accept this award:
1. Make a post + Link back to the person who awarded you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 10 recently discovered great bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them they’ve won!

7 Things about Me:
1. My favorite color is RED. I am slightly obsessed and always look for gadgets that come in red. My glasses are tinted red, I have a red vehicle, 5 pairs of red shoes, a red blender, and a red laptop. The only thing I'm missing is the red washer/dryer combo I've been lusting after for the past few years. I need to be stopped. I realize that plenty of wonderful items come in many different colors. Hey..even silver is nice. Anyone that knows me can attest that I am particularly in love with the rainbow but red is my love and I tend to be faithful. :)

2. I love babies. If you have a baby and I am around you...I will take your baby. You may or may not get your baby back. Don't worry...I will take good care of them. :)

NOT my baby (this time!) This is Piper, my cousin's baby!
3. I know nothing about photography. Confession--I bought a red camera. (I told you it was an issue.) It looks awesome and I'm sure its capable of doing more than I know. I would LOVE to take a class. Maybe when this semester is over!

4. My grandma collected turtle figurines and anything having to do with turtles. She passed away a few years ago and I miss her so much. I think of her every time I open up the turtle earring holder I was passed down. I may run like a turtle but that's ok...turtle's make me smile. :)

5. My Grandpa used to tell me I looked like Becca Thatcher from Life Goes On.

I do secretly covet her red glasses.
6. I am extremely proud of my *green thumb revolutionist*. (Not a real phrase/term that I'm aware of...but that's what I call him.) He is an avid gardener and permaculture enthusiast. He researches medicinal properties of whole food and plant life in order to grow/consume the best organic food. He reads books about worm poop. He runs while listening to health based podcasts. (what??? I need my MUSIC!!) His dedication to our family's health and happiness makes me one extremely lucky and very happy lady. When people ask if it's been hard going raw for 30 days, I can attest that a support system helps.

I almost didn't put this one. Yes, we take pictures of ourselves kissing in the garden. Are we 80? Yes.
7. The ONLY time I don't like red is when it's blood.

In Other News:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sweet responses to my post about my sister. Allyssa truly is a special person. :) ALL of my sisters are and I look forward to introducing the other two sometime soon!
I think my daughters are the perfect example of how sweet it is to have a sister.

Ok...just an update on the raw experiment.
I haven't strayed! Today was the first day that I felt a noticeable decrease in my energy levels. It's also a Monday, and we got TONS of snow today so I crossed the gym off my list of things to do and stayed in & relaxed! I'll have a post soon that covers what I've been eating.
Did you get snow today??

thanks for the nomination, Stephanie!
I think your pictures are good! We have photography classes offered one night a week for a semester at a junior college here. Pretty cheap, but I'm too chicken to do it by myself.
I'm NOT a fan of blood, either. My kids know where my bandaids are at school and help themselves. They would prefer not to have me be sick. : )
right back at ya! You are super *stylish* now!
Thanks for nominating me. A couple other blog friends have done the same and I need to get on this!! I have another TAG to do too. I love RED too...all colors really but red is the one that lean towards these days.
Um, you are GORGEOUS!! Wow. :)
You are rocking the raw food!!! WAY TOO GO!!! Girl, you are so BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can't get over it....teach me your secrets. Thanks for tagging me wahoo. Blood makes me faint ha but I do love the color:) Love the pictures with your sis...nothing beats that relationship! Looks like you do know how to use your camera! Have a great day!
I love the color red and actually had Becca Thatcher glasses when I was a kid. They made me anything but cool though.
Thank you for tagging me!! I LOVED reading this post. Too funny about all the red things and the glasses - haha. My best friend had big red glasses growing up. I love the photo of y'all kissing in the backyard! Billy and I take photos of ourselves all the time. :) I'd love to take a photo class, too! I just had a little Sony point and shoot but I love taking pictures.
It was great and fun to learn more about you in this post :)
I love babies too---the smell of their heads is like nothing else!
Of course you love babies, look at what your mom does for a living. You failed to mention your beautiful red purse/gym bag! What if I had wanted it back? I love your posts, I have 4 beautiful daughters that I love dearly and still consider all of you my "Babies". I also love my 4 beautiful grandbabies. I also agree about the photography, need to learn more. Love you.
you are such a pretty girl! i liked reading your facts. i loooove turtle stuff :)
Hi Stephanie!! Thank you for tagging me on this! I finally did it (kinda) today. It was fun learning those random facts about you and I really enjoyed doing it on my blog. It's fun to think/learn about what makes you different.
Also, I love your mom's comment on your blog! You're so lucky to have support. My mom doesn't even read my blog anymore because she doesn't approve. Even though I don't want to let it get to me, it BUGS me!
I can't wait to follow you on your continued raw foods journey!
