Jump The Slump

Ways to Get Over Feeling Down About Broken Dryers & Ants
***************************************************************************
(Since obviously this is an exact situation that is going to occur in
each and every single one of your lives at some point, right?)
****************************************************************************************

1. Read your comments
Ask & you shall receive.  I requested some pick me up yesterday and you guys did not fail!!  Such positive perspective everyone gave me and funny stories/jokes too! It was kind of ironic because just a few minutes after I posted I had already talked myself into getting over all of it and was back to my usual positive self.  The ant picture I posted even somehow made me laugh.  Not sure what's up with that considering there's not a lot to giggle about an ant colony marching its way to my now mountain of laundry as I wait to hear the State of the Dryer Address.

2. Talk to Someone Special.  Katie, it is NOT a coincidence that I mentioned you when the category was ORANGE. :)  Love getting a chance to talk to my baby. And by baby I mean adorable *baby* sister who is actually not a baby at all anymore.  But let's pretend, ok?

3. Get Physical. Fitness that is!  Last night the kids & I busted out the Wii Fit Plus that my mom got us for Christmas.  We had so much fun on it that I decided to play for a little on my own tonight.  It was fun. And I'm a dork.  I also busted out a speedy (for a turtle) 2.5 miles.  Some nights I just want to run faster but I still don't have the endurance to run @ those speeds for very long.   I finished in 21 min 05 seconds.

4. Sing @ The Top of Your Lungs.   This is what I sang.  But feel free to pick your own song.

5. Eat Some Chocolate.
And if you're eating high raw like I am....go with fruit & raw chocolate coconut butter.  Super great choice for after singing your guts out  running on the treadmill...but brownies would probably be the best choice.  Or Almond Joys.  Or you know...just do your own indulgence thang.

6. Fight Feeling Blue with Green. Green veggies seem to do the trick for me!

7. Read Something That Excites You.
Oh man.  I'm not even through the first chapter and I'm already getting chills reading it.  I'm sure this isn't everyone's idea of a light read but the idea of our diets truly being our preventative medicine stirs me up in all the right ways.

So there you go ladies and gentlemen.   Those are my 7 tried and true ways of getting over a broken dryer and ants in your pants hallway!!
*********************************************************************************

ON THE AGENDA FOR TODAY:

*Body Attack with this girl!
*Long Run (5 Miles)
*Clean up the ants that I massacred with lemons.
*MCC Fights with Ryan.  (He dj's...I assist!!)

What awesome plans do you have for the rest of the weekend?

Getting physical always helps me---even when I'm in the kind of slump that makes me not want to do anything...if I can just go and do it, I feel better!
